The arrangement plays into the strengths of the genre perfectly, and the glue (including a cameo of "Zelda's Theme") that holds everything together is everything BUT filler. FX change-ups and mangling 2'01" are delectable indulgent, sure, but with evident skill & musicality. While over five minutes long, time just kinda flies by it's such a pleasant, uplifting melody, and hearing it run through the beat grinder & EDM-ified is rather a blast. Keep-you-guessing transitions & assertive, galvanized production are a big part of that the artist writes: Newcomer GlacialSpoon (Robert Kemp) makes a strong, memorable debut with a sick, SFX-laden dubstep take on "Lost Woods" aka "Saria's Song" - the theme works realllly well in this context, and I'd go so far as to say that this is one of my favorite VGM arrangements in the genre.
